Dental postcards that fill empty chairs

Custom cards from 26¢ based on location. We mail owner-occupied homes — by ZIP, home value, and kids in the house — so the next new patient already lives near the practice.

CASE STUDIES

Other practices have published the patient counts. We publish the cards.

Vendor case studies from PostcardMania and Cactus Mailing sit next to the 2026 Virginia drops. Their numbers are not a forecast for your office.

WHY DENTISTS MAIL

The math is short. The card stays on the counter.

$8k–$15k

Typical lifetime value of one new patient, as ACG publishes it.

$1,500

A 5,000-piece drop at the 30¢ tier.

2 patients

Enough retained patients to pay for that drop — and then some.

What we will say, and what we will not

  • A new-patient exam, x-rays, and consult fills empty chair time and introduces a household that stays for cleanings, restorative, and the rest of the family.
  • Mail sits on the kitchen counter. A Google ad disappears in a swipe. For a family choosing a dentist, a card from a neighborhood practice feels like a referral.
  • We do not promise a headcount. The list, the offer, the creative, and whether someone answers the phone decide the drop.
  • Practices that mail the same neighborhoods through the year stay present the next time someone chips a tooth or a teenager is ready for aligners.

Industry context, not a guarantee

  • Dental mail programs, including published guides such as Cactus Mailing’s dental page, cite a 17–20% annual switch rate — moves, retirements, insurance changes.
  • On that math, a 10,000-household draw has roughly 1,700–2,000 households open to a new dentist in a year.
  • The same sources often put first-year value at $600–$1,200 and lifetime value at $3,000–$8,000. ACG’s own published lifetime range is higher, at $8,000–$15,000.
  • A mail-house case study (Park Forest Dentistry, not an ACG client) reported about 10 new patients per 2,500-piece monthly saturation drop.

Sliding the quantity sets the published rate. Move this if the zone prices a shared card or a solo card differently.

ACG’s published range is $8,000–$15,000. Some mail-house guides use $3,000–$8,000. Slide it to the number you believe.

WHO WE MAIL

Pick the list that matches the job

Full saturation

Every door on a chosen carrier route. Maximum neighborhood presence when you want a ZIP or a subdivision to know the practice name.

Custom demographic

Only the households that match the buyer: home value, age, income, children, length of residence. Skip apartments and commuters who will never drive to the office.

New movers

The first 30–90 days after a move, when a household is choosing a dentist, a pediatric dentist, and often an ortho consult — and has not picked one yet.

The offer that works is specific and easy to call: new-patient exam, x-rays, and consult. A family special. An ortho or implant consult. Put a date on it. Track a unique phone number so the front desk can see what the drop produced.

How a drop actually happens

  1. 01

    The neighborhood

You send the ZIPs, the quantity, and the in-hands date. We come back with a zone price, not a slide deck.

  2. 02

    The card

In-house design. Your doctors, your offer, your phone number. Proof before it prints.

  3. 03

    The drop

List, print, address, and postage from one studio. Shared value card or solo postcard, saturation or new movers.

Start with the ZIPs.
